With Vintage Africa it is not "better to travel than to arrive". For our clients the whole safari is a profoundly satisfying journey of discovery. We offer a wide range of safaris to some of the most outstandingly beautiful and fascinating places on earth. Travel is our business and we ensure a quality of product and service that is second to none. Since 1988, the Vintage group has provided over 150,000 travellers with some of the most memorable safaris in Africa and beyond.

Our Passion for Africa
We were born in Africa. Our lives have been dedicated to the wildlife and its conservation. We would like to share with you a few words which convey the magical lure of Africa

The glories of Africa are well-documented but only those who actually travel there can stand under the wide, sheltering skies and feel the warm red earth beneath their feet. Film and television do not really communicate the sheer thrill of being only yards from a bull elephant, nor do they allow a true picture of the peerless landscapes and richly-textured cultures. Africa is tranquillity and adventure, mighty waters and arid desert, nostalgia and modernity. A land of exciting contrasts and breathtaking beauty lies waiting to be explored.

Our Business

Vintage Africa provides excellent travel programs into more than 16 countries in Africa, covering over 100 activities and over 20 different types of adventure, sport, eco-, special interest and holistic safaris. No other company can match our choice, flexibility and commitment to your journey.

We also own and maintain our own vehicles and train our own guides to ensure a better safari for you. Our excellent customer ratings speak for themselves.

Our outstanding Ground Service is a product of dedicated staff and intensive training. We will ensure that all our clients are:

• Personally met by our representatives at the airport on arrival and accompanied to the city hotels and domestic airports for transfers.

• Checked-in at the city hotels and airport

• Given the highest level of service at all times.

Travelling with Vintage Africa is made as comfortable as possible. We own modern 4x4 vehicles and mini buses with viewing hatches, radio communications and a mobile wildlife library. Quite often we find that clients prefer the speed and convenience of light aircraft. We can organise both scheduled and charter flights to almost all of our destinations. However, our transport is by no means restricted to the modern-day machines. Our walking safaris can take you to the wildest spots on earth, as can our horse, camel and elephant-back safaris. Without them our fleet would not be complete.

Our Guides

We employ skilled, multilingual driver guides and specialist guides who have attended tourism, wildlife, bird and culture courses on a regular basis and achieved bronze and silver levels (the highest offical rating for a guide in East Africa). With an average of 20 years experience per guide, our driver guides know their flora, fauna and cultures extremely well. They are dedicated professionals who are passionate about what they do. Our average guide rating is 9.8 out of 10.

We offer additional advantages to our clients
