 | The Lepayians Oasis of Hope Foundation (LOFH) is a humanitarian development agency pursuing integrated social, economic and cultural development in fight against poverty and social exclusion of the disadvantaged in the society. The purpose of the Lepayians Oasis of Hope Foundation is to act as the Institutional home for social initiative and intervention from self Help Group, community based Organization and both local and international Organizations targeting the provisions of sustainable development projects that enhance Self- reliance and livelihood.
The Foundation’s aim is to catalyze social-economic and cultural development of the forgotten African indigenous pastoralist communities at the bottom of the pyramid to be in corporate into the millennium development strategies that alleviate high prevailing level of poverty.
Lepayian in the local Maasai dialect means “ a blessing complemented through years of wisdom input” thus the Lepayians Oasis of Hope Foundation intends is to become a blessing by amplifying the love of God with a blend of compassion that is love and care to the disadvantaged through provision of facilities that radiates human life encouraging self-reliance and employment which will diversify the region’s economy and enfranchise those by tradition and government neglect have been kept in cycle of poverty. This is out of vision to the total dedication to the calling of service to God in the area of under-privileged in the LORD Jesus Christ.
The Lepayians oasis of hope foundation is a reflection of true life experience of Lepayian Simon who grew up an orphan, a destitute rural urchin and street boy in his formative years but whose debilitating past become the springboard for salvaging the lives of less fortunate in his life time Mission and outstanding commitment through practical actions. Thus, Lepayian’s calling is based on scriptural inspirational in Mathew 25:35-36 that says “ …………for I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to eat, I was a stranger and you invited me in, i needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me….” Doing the world is James 1:27 which confirm his commitment to the course through a deliberate effort to embrace a “Religion that God our father accepted as pure and faultless is this; to look after orphan and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world” the Lepayians Oasis of Hope Foundation stands and strived over years to share God love with blend of compassion and providence to all people regardless of race, nationality, ethnicity, gender and religion affiliation extending its humanitarian assistance without respect to political affiliation, sect nor sectarianism.
