 | Nairobi Institute of Business Studies (NIBS) is a private training institution. It was established and incorporated under companies Act (Cap 486, Laws of Kenya) and registered as a private limited company on 19th March 1999. It is also registered as a post secondary training institution by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology under the Education Act (Cap 211 Laws of Kenya).
Our Aims
Our main aim is to provide professional, managerial and technical skills and knowledge to the students at affordable fees. The training attracts many school leaves, employed persons and coporate training. NIBS offers programs of high quality standards which provide academic path for university education. Our students come from all parts of Kenya and other countries. We offer fulltime/regular classes and part time/evening classes for those who are not available during the day. We offer accommondation at our Thika Road Campus and have contacts for the most secure and comfortable hostels for those students in Nairobi City Campuses.
Chaplaincy, Counseling and Career Guidance
NIBS offers chaplaincy services, Career guidance and Counseling of students. We have a strong sports department and our students are involved in many tournaments. We provide scholarships to needy students while bright students are awarded with certificates of merit and other forms of recognition.
Our students enjoy library facility and many volumes of books are procured yearly. We provide transport to students and staff by use of the college bus.
The institutes' motto "Developing Skills and Competence" summarizes the aims and objectives of the organization.
Our Objectives
To give and develop in our students the skills and knowledge in demand in the local and international labour market through training Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Degree programmes.

to organise management courses through seminars, conferences and workshops, for business organizations and individuals to tackle real issues that affect business operations and management in Kenya
